Music

What wrote the song? What is the song called ? Glory by John legend Common. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUZOKvYcx_o

What is the song purpose?  the struggles reenacted, but it's a song of hope for society today. Justice was not fully achieved after the events with Martin Luther King Jr. and the song reflects how justice still needs to be served in situations of police brutality today.

What did you take from the song ? The lack of equality of people's point of view.

Music And The Civil Rights

1.How did music affect the civil right movement? Music played a paramount role in the Civil Rights MovementMusic was a way Black Americans could express their feeling to each other and the world. Music provided spiritual support and was used as a tool for peace. ... “The freedom songs are playing a strong and vital role in our struggle."

2.Why was music such a powerful force?Music is a language of emotion in that it can represent different feelings and barge into the soul with no boundaries or limitations. People are always challenged by the fact that “no one understands them” or know how they “really feel”, so they turn to music.Music also has the capacity to imitate emotions.

3.Find some example of music from the 60's?

  • She loves you.
  • I feel fine
  • In my life
  • Come together
  • My girl
  • Milky way
