English 30 seconds film (DAY TO DAY)

English; 30-35 Second film (Day 1)

In English, we've started a new topic about a 30-35 long film, we've been divided into the group between 3-4. with Tyra, Subnesh. I think we've had a great start into planning this, trying to explain it is kinda simple we've nearly finished the planning. We are doing Studying one, so one person is studying and the other person is not studying in this film there will be many different shots that I cannot remember, I cannot wait to film this to get this done.

30-second Film - Planning 2
Today we will start rehearsing what we will be doing in the film so when we get round to filming we know what we are doing. We will also have to ask Mrs. Handley for permission to have her in the film. We have to ask the Liberians whether or not we will be able to film in the Learning Commons.

We asked Mrs. Handley if we could have her in our film and we rehearsed what we will be doing on Monday once we have something to record on. So far everything is going smoothly. We still have to ask permission to film in the Learning Commons. 

30-second film - planning 3
Today we are starting our film. We will also have to ask Mrs. Handley for permission to have her in the film. We are doing the first scene of the video. 





The end we have done the first and the fourth scene. It was a good scene but we need to edit our video. For the next class, we will need to do the last 2 scenes.

30-35 Second Film (Day 4)
In English we've just about finishing the 30- 35-second film as we only have about two scenes to film now, we couldn't finish the others because we needed a certain person to be in it but they weren't here so we couldn't record it. We had just about finished the last two scenes we are going to begin editing them all together now and next time. overall we were mostly onto filming it, we think it turned out great.

30 Second Film - Day 5


Since we have finished recording yesterday we will start looking at stitching it all together. We will have to get the footage from the phone onto a computer to edit which we will do that today. We also have to decide what editing tool we are going to use.



Subhnesh has decided to do the editing. Although he walked off keeping the rest of the group in the dark about what he was doing and what we were going to do. I looked at a few editing tools we could use.
30 seconds film-Day 6
In English, we've just finished our 30-second film and we are starting our editor. 
The end of the class we are working on our editor and we will finish it in 2 days.

English 30-35 second film (Day 7)
In English this time we are, we are working on work on removing the background sound and, and adding extra details to the film, we are nearly there to finish up on this we just need to review over this a bit more and improving the film we got so far. In the end, we managed to mostly all of it done. Our next goal is to keep reviewing it over it adding and cutting our minor things, then we will be all set.

30 Second Film - Editing Day 8

Today we are going finish editing. Removing background sound. We also have to add sound effects and music. We have still to decide what music we are adding as a group.
We had to re-film a few scenes because our heads got cut off. Now all that we have to do is add the music and upload it to our computer and send it to the rest of the group the teacher.

30 seconds film (Day 9)
Today our goals are to finish the editor and post the video on our blogs. For the editor, I remove the original sound and put music. Also, decrease the size of the video to 30 -35 seconds. In the end, I will share the video with everyone in our group and we will post it to our blog.

In the end, we finished the editor and we will post the video tomorrow.

(S)The theme of look can be deceiving is shown through the gradual change of the other mother from a honey sweet woman to a vinegar sour metal spider.(E) At the start of the film the other mother appears short, curvy and wearing the same clothes as coraline real mother. (X) This makes the audience feel safe , happy and relaxed toward the other mother.  (X) The director did this to show us that coraline feels at home with the other mother in the other world.However, the other mother changes slowly throughout the film until she finally becomes a skeletal, metal spider who wants to trap coraline in her other world .(X) When we first see the other mother she is ni warmorange light that makes her feel safe, but by the end she is surrounded by dark and green light which makes her seem evil , grotesque and horriying .(X)Selick shows these changes to help

 Colour is effective in helping to create the two worlds and show the theme 'looks can be deceiving '. The real world study uses a colour palette predominantly  of greys , white and  blues . This creates a cold  , lonely and boring atmosphere. The director did this to show that coraline is unhappy in the real world and that her real father is too busy to spend time with her .  The use of a cold natural light re-enforces this mood. Juxtaposed to this is the use of colour in the other world study . Vibrant red, orange and yellow make the room feel warm , safe and cosy . Selick used this palette to show that coraline is happier in the other onther world where the other father has time for her . This shows that looks can be deceiving because coraline mistakes the bright perfect world for a safe place when really it is a trap .

ESSAY
In the kitchen scene lighting is used effectively to enhance the story and shows the theme 'looks can be deceiving '. In the real world kitchen a natural cold light comes through the rainy window which creates an atmosphere of boredom , sadness and loneliness  .The director did this to show us that coraline doesn't like it here and is unhappy . Juxtaposed to this is the kitchen in the other world. It is lit by a warm , orange artificial light that makes the space feel warm , welcoming and safe. Selick  used this to show that coraline is happy and feels at home in the other world . This helps show the theme 'looks can be deceiving 'because coraline feels safe but by the end of the film we will discover that the other world is a perfect trap deigned to catch coraline  .

Creative Writing - Best piece

Short story : THE FOX & THE RABBIT
Characters :
The greedy fox
The poor rabbit

Moral:
Don’t be greedy . 
Help others in need . 
Don't be selfish.
Don't bully .
Share food.

Once upon a time in the jungle there was one greedy  fox and poor rabbit . The poor Rabbit and all Animals was so hungry and have no food with them because the greedy fox steal all the food for them and bullied them a lot . All the animals were scared of him . So one day a hunter came into the jungle and he wanted to capture  animals . So the hunter said “ all the animals will be captured and will be for his collection at home “ and he started to make the net trap for the animals . 


Meanwhile in the jungle the fox was stealing food from the animals and he also stole food from the poor rabbit . When it got dark the hunter  finished the trap of the animals. 
The hunter  went home to  give rest and he will check on the net tomorrow . Furthermore when the hunter went home the fox have all of the food in his mouth that he had stolen .

When the fox was going home he had stepped on the hunter's net and he got caught .  The fox bite and scratch and he couldn't free himself out of the net and he cried to the animals any ask for help and nobody answered. After a minute all of the animals came outside and looked at the fox trapped inside of the hunter’s trap . All animals was happy that the fox were captured except the poor rabbit . The poor rabbit was so kind that he thought it was not good to leave him there . All animals was shouting hip hip hooray in joy . All animals said “ the greedy fox is down now we can live in peace and we cannot be hungry anymore “. After a while the fox realised his mistake and it was too late to say sorry . After a while the rabbit came and said to everybody “it is not right to do it , if we do it will be same as him and also the fox has realised his mistake.'' “Now we can free the fox and give him one more chance .” The rabbit  told the fox to make a promise that he won't steal any food again . All the animals agreed with the rabbit helped him cut the net and free the fox . When the fox got free he was so embarrassed of himself and he said sorry and thank you all the animal and a big thank you to the rabbit for saving his life . All of the animals were happy and living in peace and sharing food which each and another . The poor rabbit wasn't poor anymore and the greedy fox wasn’t greedy anymore . The rabbit and the fox was best friend and lived happily ever after . Meanwhile in the morning the hunter came and looked at his net  and he saw nothing so he gave up catching animals . The end …

3 Reflection :
1. What am i learning ? I am learning how to make short stories .
2.How does this work show my learning? I learnt that fable need a moral and including it to my
writing .
3.What am i wondering ? When I finished writing this fable I felt a  sad in the starting but after rereading the whole story I felt happy .

Amazing Time


It was a very cold morning , cold as i was sleeping on ice .
Three weeks ago my grandparents came from Fiji . One week end we all decide to visit  
mount hutt .We also invite my father’s friend and our cousin to the trip to have fun . It was
very far away from home . Early morning on friday after breakfast . My mother packed the
luched  for us , with some juice and put in the car . At about 9.30 am we leave for mount
hutt . it was a sunny and cold day .

Furthermore , After an hour driving i saw the mountain above us . I saw snow on the
mountain and children making snowman . After driving above the slippery road , we
reach the top of the mountain . So furthermore i jump out the car , I feel the cold freezing
air on my hand and body .  It was a very good view to watch and take photos . All though
i love the top , we drive to the below to see the lake and to snowman like cousin, I made
on the top .

We stop never a lake which was full of ice water . When it's sunny, the ice melts and
shining become snow on the mountains . We also take the photos of the lake and the
mountain . Some children and cousins were playing with snow , also i join them .From
there we went ahead and reached at village where we had our lunches . After lunch we
all decided to return home . At about 4.00pm we came back home safely . I was very happy
to see the snow mountain and my family also at the end I was sneezing .

O = Outline  - the 3 things you are going to write about - red , white and blue . He was willing to die for money to give Bassanio . Shylock and Antonio hate each other .  Shylock doesn't show mercy .


"If you wrong us , shall we not revenge ? " ( Shakespeare- Shylock ) Have you ever felt like taking revenge ? In William Shakespeare's 'The Merchant Of Venice ' a key moment that shocked the reader was when Antonio Agreed to forfeit a pound   of flesh to Shylock if he didn't repay his bond . this moment was shocking , outrageous and fascinating . This moment was important to the text as a whole because Shylock and Antonio didn't like each other but will agreed on the bond , Antonio  was willing to risk his life for Bassanio and Shylock did not show mercy in charming his bond .

E=Evidence - Antonio was a Merchant , Shylock made a living lending people money with interest .
While Shylock charged interest , Antonio lent money without interest and scorned Shylock for doing so .He also spat at Shylock and called him " cut throat dog ".
E= Explain - Therefore , the reader is shocked to discover Antonio and Shylock can come agreement about money lending . It is also Shocking because when Shylock calls Antonio out for the way he treat him, antonio  tells Shylock that he wil spit on him and call him  a dog again . This treatment is not usual between people who make agreements .
L=Link - With treatment like this from Antonio towards Shylock , and a promise to be just as cruel in the future , it is shocking that they both agreed to the bond.


Mirror conclusion 
In William Shakespeare 'the Merchant Of Venice ' A key moment that shocked the reader was when Antonio Agreed to forfeit a pound   of flesh to Shylock if he didn't repay his bond . This was shocking because Antanio hated Shylock and promised to mistreat him in the future. Antonio  was willing to risk his life for Bassanio and Shylock did not show mercy in charming his bond .  Finally, because Shylock had never shown mercy and did not at the trial for theses reasons it is clear that this moment was shocking to the reader.
